Great learning experience

It was a great learning experience for me, as the instructor.

I learned that students are resilient, thoughtful, resourceful, and creative. Not that I did not think they had these qualities, but I was wondering if they could meet their deadlines faithfully and still let these qualities shine through. This semester they really shined.

I learned that students appreciated challenges that are meaningful to them. I learned that they are sometimes more critical of their work than I was. I learned that they appreciate each other's work in their peer review comments. I especially learned that they are very candid with me in their reflections.

I learned within 16 weeks, students could enhance their visual literacy, technological literacy, and critical thinking in a course that they were anxious in the first week.

I learned that I have much to learn about my students.
